SpeedCuber4
Speedcubing timer for iPhone and iPad

Privacy policy

Effective October 16, 2026

SpeedCuber4 has no server and does not sell or share any personal data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device, unless you turn on Google Drive sync, which saves your sessions in your own Google Drive.

What stays on your device

Your sessions, solves, times, scrambles, comments and settings are saved in the app's storage on your iPhone or iPad. They are included in your device or iCloud backups according to your iOS settings, under Apple's privacy policy.

Google Drive sync (optional)

Sync is off until you tap Sign in with Google in Settings. When you do:

SpeedCuber4's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

GAN Smart Timer (Bluetooth)

When you connect a GAN Smart Timer in Settings, the app uses Bluetooth to receive the timer's state and times. This stays between the timer and your device; nothing goes online.

What the app does not do

Files you import or export

Import only reads the file you choose in the file picker. Export creates a file and opens the iOS share sheet; the file goes only where you send it.

Voice alerts and clipboard

Inspection voice alerts are spoken by iOS on your device. The app writes to the clipboard only when you tap Copy.

Deleting your data

Delete a solve or a session in the app, or delete the app to remove all of its data from your device. With sync on, deletes reach your Google Drive file too; see above to delete that file.

Children

SpeedCuber4 collects no data on its own servers from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
